On Friday the 13th of May at 13:00 GMT we took WonderThemes out of BETA and launched open registrations for vendors :)

No themes yet

At the moment WonderThemes is a theme Marketplace without any themes. None of our vendors are ready to publish yet and the home-grown themes being developed in-house by the WonderTeam had to take a back-seat while we worked on getting the marketplace working and fully tested.

Offers prizes and more

Keep an eye out for some great deals and competitions coming out of the site soon. We are in the process of working out our final marketing strategy which means some great deals and goodies will be on offer for everyone who’s registered!

Already publishing elsewhere?

We can’t really beat our 95% rate but what we CAN do is offer some great incentives for publishing your theme on our marketplace if you have already have it published elsewhere.

If you are already a well established theme vendor an any other marketplace OR are selling themes via your own site/system and want to get them on WonderThemes let us know and we can help to speed up the process.

We only charge a small 5% fee to your payment rate if you are selling your theme non-exclusively (on other marketplaces) read the payment rate guide for more details.

Hey all! The first phase of proper WonderThemes BETA testing went live this week!

If you weren’t on the BETA mailing list then you will have missed out on the first sign-up code but its not too late! If you want to muck in just get in touch and state your case.

95% Inspiration

Remember, all BETA testers get the FULL 95% fee on their first published theme FOR LIFE!

So if you’re a WordPress theme designer or developer and have a theme in the works why not sign up now and help out with our testing phase?

Even if your theme isn’t ready yet, it doesn’t matter becuase the offer is for your first published theme no matter when you decide to publish it.

All of our WonderThemes BETA testers who sign up to the site as either a vendor or just a standard user will be placed into a competition to win the latest hot web design book ‘Hardboiled Web Design’.

All you need to do to be in with a chance of winning is:

  1. Sign up as either a vendor or standard account
  2. Follow the @wonderthemes twitter account
  3. Supply feedback at the end of the BETA period

No too shabby ‘eh? We’ve also got a couple more prizes and gifts to hand out to our BETA-gang, just keep watching this space :)

Its now 1.11.11 (or 11.1.11 depending where you come from) and the WonderThemes marketplace beta site has launched to the world.

What is the BETA?

Full details of the beta can be found here. If you think you have what it takes to help us out then sign up. We need people who are willing to upload test themes for sale as well as dummy customers to fully test our advanced marketplace system before we unleash it on the rest of the web.

Am I eligible??

If you have experience making WordPress themes/sites then sign up (we review each case separately). If you just want to help us test out the marketplace system, then sign up too – all you need is a PayPal account!

When will the official launch be?

We currently have the official launch planned for between March and April 2011. For updates and other news follow WonderThemes on twitter or sign up for news and updates here.
